Children often have a difficult time separating from a parent, as a result we created our Parent-Toddler class for children aged 12-24 months and a caregiver. Early Childhood is a time to be revered, specifically in a place like Potomac Crescent Waldorf School. Parent-Toddler activities include seasonal songs, movement, stories, snack, and play time inside and outside. Consequently, children love to come to our school.
Children in this class will feel secure because our Faculty will create a supportive gathering of adults in a nurturing space. In the background, caregivers learn a simple handwork craft while children play with open-ended toys and explore their environment.
Our classrooms are nurturing places where wood, silk, wool, stones and soft pastel canopies create a gentle background for play. As a result of time spent in a nurturing environment, children establish a healthy understanding of who they are in relation to others. Moreover, free play with open-ended toys allows your child’s imagination to be the central feature of their play. Each class session includes an adult education evening for discussion on parenting and education topics.
